Four day music festivals are a glorious event. Everyone’s dancing, having fun with friends, and trying out cool new food. If you are a vendor or networking, these experiences will also apply even if you are just there for work. However, at the end of the night, every festival attendee must sleep or return back to their “home” for the weekend. In order to make sure your home away from home is absolutely comfortable, I have compiled a list of essential items to pack when you are out in the campgrounds!

- Tent- Without a tent, there will be no sense of shelter in your campground. If you opt out of a tent, my favorite hack is setting up a four legged rain tent. With the rain tent, you hang four tapestries on each side in order to create a tent-like structure.
- Tarp- Rain knows no limits! Do not let rain ruin your parade during the festival weekends! A tarp will provide a floor like structure. If the festival grounds become drenched, all of your personal belongings will be salvaged.
- Lantern- During the day no one will notice that your campsite needs lighting. However, after a jam-packed day of music and fun, you will not want to scramble to get ready for bed in the pitch-black dark. Do not forget to pack extra batteries for your lantern!
- Pillows/Blankets- Of course comfort always comes first. Without a good nights rest, you will be cranky when you have to dance in the sun all day. Blankets and pillows help when the nights get cold and you will want to cover up. Also, the sun can be brutal in the early mornings. Blankets can allow a great sun blocker if you attach it to the tent windows as well!
- Portable Chargers- In order to catch happy memories, your favorite artist’s performances, and keep up with your social circle, you will need to keep your electronics charged. Bringing three or four portable chargers are beneficial in case one dies or another malfunctions.
- Mirror- It sounds vain, but I have personally forgotten many times that once you are at a campsite, there are no regular mirrors around to get ready for the day in. Bringing, a narrow body length mirror will be beneficial for everyone in the group if they forgot as well.
- Toiletries- Just because you are on vacation does not mean to delay your hygiene routine. Bring everything you usually would use to get ready before going out of the house. This includes brushing teeth, and bringing shampoo and soap for the showers. Showers are usually up for grabs for a small cost, take advantage! Your festival group will thank you.

Double check that these items leave the house when you do for the four day weekend. These items will not only provide a positive experience with no problems, but also ensures that a campers weekend runs smoothly. Save yourself the extra Walmart trip after entering the festival by bringing these camping must haves that I never forget. If you subscribe, you will never miss when this list is updated! Keep in the loop to have a comfortable home away from home.
